Description
Dialogue here was hard, because I didn't want to give anything away just yet. Just like the last page. I was going to have a squarebox of something Kyna was thinking as she looked at the Princess, but I felt anything I wrote would spoil the tension I'm trying to build.
I know it's probably not the BEST, but I figure the more I practice, the better I'll get. It serves its purpose, so I'll go with it. After staring at this page for TWO DAYS!
Of course, now I got to figure out how to make an effect. Probably gotta be in GIMP. Hmm. (strokes beard.*
Onward to the next one! I want to get one last one done for the week, though I've already hit my goal of 4 pages. It won't always have that pacing, but since the primary goal is to learn new things, I'm pushing myself to work a little harder at this stage. After that, I'll have to figure out if I'm going to continue the story long-term. I don't really have an end-goal for the characters that works for something short-term. Kyna wants vengeance, and to pay a debt. What motivates the other characters? Well, I have some answers, but don't wish to spoil anything.
I did find two volumes of this comic called "Princeless: Raven the Pirate Princess" and I would like to mention it now. Found 'em at Goodwill. Don't have the first volume, but what I do have is really fun. Good story! So I thought I'd share the find since it isn't anything "mainstream."

Nicely done.
Thanks, Ikke!
Excellent done, like it a lot!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Mike!
I love how the story is developing.
Another great set of panels....your keeping things close to your chest...given very little away.....i'm intrigued...top work.!!
Best to keep the exposition down. Which is sort of the opposite of writing a novel.
excellent
Thanks!
Nicely done. You're right not to give too much away at first; just enough to keep the reader interested.
Yes. Hopefully I'm doing that.
Excellent work!
Thanks a lot!
the story continues, fine
Thank you for reading it!
Beautiful composition on this image and fantastic story 👍🙋♂️
Thank you, my friend. I appreciate it.
Still working it I see...
The minimal dialogue allows the images to speak, so you find yourself looking for those visual clues, a facial expression or a particular stance. Just how all the best visual novels do it!
Aww. Thank you. I'm looking forward to the next few pages - even if they're going to be difficult to pull off.
I love the interaction you are creating. Very fun and quite enjoyable.
Thanks. They're quite the pair, so I look forward to how it progresses. It's weird doing comic dialogue, though.
