yeah, I'm with a lot of people above, this was perfect for inauguration day. (Wonderful, isn't it, that "inauguration" means "in-augur-ation": as in "augury," magic, to intuit signs and omens, originally from birds...it has ancient magical roots!) It was such a beautiful day---and the LIGHT that day was to die for. Your piece captures the feel and the light of that day....Ok, you know those restaurants that go to such ends to create "art" as much as food? So when they put down a dessert, you're not sure whether to photograph it or eat it? But---when you DO eat it, it's to die for? Well that's what you have here. Only yours is a work of art, so there's no pretense (ie, turning custard into an installation in a museum). Beautiful! Gears and swirls and bolts and other mechanical things, all surrounded by these big energy pools---even a little lone orange dot in the lower left! The yellows and caramel hues are luscious. And all that stuff in the middle suggests a city, or lots of structural constructions. Beautiful piece to celebrate a new day. Boy do I hope it continues in that spirit. (If you did an image for the previous administration, it'd have to be a dark, dark hole, with glitz and glitter---to fool the viewer into thinking they were viewing gold and silver, when, in fact, it was just a black hole with a mirage...) Beautiful fractal, it's genuinely mouth watering, Barb...
