Well maybe next time. In the end I tried a version with and without snow. But overall I'm happy with how this turned out. I really wanted to enter this in a contest but I missed the entry deadline. It's not so much as not winning it's that feeling you get for not even making it to the starting line. Peace can have so many meanings to different people. The happy feeling you get during the holidays. Knowing you're almost through the roughest year of the lifetime for some. Maybe the simple comfort of a roof over your head. A place to truly call your own. The love and companionship of family. Be they human or furry. Or just the piece of mind you get when the kids "finally" go to sleep.
