Wow, great work with the camera angle and composition! Her pose and the three gargoyles artfully positioned hovering behind her shoulders really sell the mood and effectively develop intensity and interest. Really nice light quality and atmospheric perspective. I'm new to 3D, so just so I can get an idea of how your workflow goes: After render, how much time approximately did you have to spend in Photoshop to bring it up to this final presentation?

thx for your comment, RizonFirebrand. i always try to do as much color/light/shadow work before the rendering starts and that can take time - especially with all the dforce simulations. but the key job is to find the right kind of light. because - and to stress as much as I can - the light is your 'pen' that writes your story. photoshop is used only to enhance (eventually) colors/brightness/contrast and to apply lens correction and vignette. on this particular image, it took about 10 minutes. if the fog wasn't rendered, it would take approximately 10 more minutes (with depth channel rendered). well, I consider this one the 'easier one'. others can take more time...
