Yes he did, for me he is the image of blind strength. In another way, the knight's armor is empty, it is the image of a ghost that haunts the place.

Excellent on so many levels; i love the way the crochet in the painting becomes her pullover, then is echoed in the chain mail. Superb textures throughout and great lighting/palette too.

the woman is a figure of resistance between the empty armor of the knight (trophy of the phallocracy) which drops its mace, like a latent threat, and the painting of the young girl, predestined for the domestic tasks assigned to women ( knitting). The way she holds her hook, could make it a weapon, certainly unimpressive, in the face of centuries of male domination. Likewise, I wanted to leave ambiguity on the nature of the material of her sweater, which could really be a chainmail to defend against attacks.
