After a rather nervous lunch, Jorge and Red return to the ladies office at the appointed time. Jorge is surprised to see Jake and Silo waiting in the reception area. They don't see Jorge when he comes in so he doesn't try to get their attention. They are surrounded by guards so its not surprising they are distracted. At least they have been allowed to wear their regular clothes. The receptionist sees Jorge and Red and immediately motions them to follow her into the ladies office. 'Olivia' greets them with a smile and proceeds to tell them of her plan. She really does have her hand in just about everything as it turns out. The people that Jake and Silo have pledged their spaceship to are none other than one of her groups. She owns most of the casino's on the planet and runs them with a very efficient hand. She proceeds. 'Here is what I propose for you, Jorge, if you are amenable to the idea. I will take care of all of these two hoodlums gambling debts, since most of them are to my businesses anyway. I will release their spaceship and refurbish and supply it for the trip you have in mind. But, I must insist that my trusted guard here accompany you on the first leg of your journey to the professors planet to retrieve his valuables. My guard will make sure these bad boys don't try something along the way. If he feels it is safe for you to continue on your quest, he will release all of you and return her with a full report of your journey.' At this development, the guard gets a look of consternation on his face but she lets him know his place with a look. 'From that point on, you are on your own. I wish you godspeed and best of luck in your quest. And if you do find any 'interesting' trinkets among all the 'loot' you seem to think you will be finding, you might remember your 'Olivia' and bring her some of it?' 'This is an overwhelming gesture on your part! I don't know what to say but thank you from the bottom of my heart. If Jake and Silo are agreeable to this deal, I can't wait to get underway!' say Jorge. 'What if they don't agree to the deal?' trills Red from the side. 'Then its back to the slammer for them and a nice long jail sentence for what they tried to do to me!' exclaims the lady. Jorge and 'Olivia' discuss the terms a little longer as she explains in detail some of the more important aspects. Then she nods to her guard to bring in Jake and Silo. As they shuffle through the door, they have the look of some very changed men. Gone is their swagger and self confidence. The move slowly forward till the lady tells them to halt. Then she asks them a few questions to see what shape their minds are in. Jake has no trouble with her questions but he maintains a very respectful attitude. Silo on the other hand has trouble speaking and slurs most of his words but he too tries to present a respectful attitude. Once she finishes her questions, she spells out the terms of their release. That they are to be released to Jorge's custody and that if there is any kind of hanky panky she hears of, they will be tracked down one way or another and returned to their jail cell for a very long time. Jake looks at Silo and Silo slowly forms a weak and feeble smile on his face. Jake then speaks for both of them. 'As you can see, the last couple of days have been very difficult for my partner to endure what with the frightful psychological beating he took at the hands of the ogre. But I can safely speak for both of us. We wholeheartedly agree to the terms of this release and pray for your forgiveness for our attempting to take advantage of you earlier.' 'Well, that settles it then.' says the lady (Olivia). 'Does this still sound agreeable to you and Red?' she asks Jorge. 'It certainly does!' exclaims Jorge and Red nods his head in agreement as well. 'How long do you think it will take to get your spaceship ready for this journey?' she asks Jake. 'I think with the resources at your command, we should be ready in under a week.' says Jake. 'Very well then.' she says. 'You have my permission to proceed. Let my guard know what you need. He is to accompany you all the time.
