Heard on a tweet that Eddie's son said his father passed away today of cancer. He was 65.
I saw Van Halen twice in my concert days. Once in California at a event called the us festival in 1982 and I took this photo of him at McNichols Arena back about 1984.
He was one of the top 4 best guitarist ever! his jamming will be very missed.
RIP Eddie.

This is very sad and quite alarming that God has called so many great performers and musicians home just this year alone.
It is sad to see this generation of great artist dropping out into the starlight. He will be missed.

Makes me think of an old song that I like.....'Rock and Roll Heaven'....'If you believe in forever, and that life is not a one night stand....and there's a rock and roll heaven....and they've got one 'hell' of a band'.
