I had to do one more---I'll get to your figure-based ones soon---this looks like a wonderful wicker sculpture, or something made from woody-looking stone. Or even processed rattan. (I just spelled "rattan" as "ritan". I thought, "what in the world's ritan???") It's so familiar but so not. I love the shapes and mosaic tile balls, and the feeling of a big temple door (or vault door) in the center. Plus your light---which has some beautiful rust-reds in the background---is shadowy and mysterious. A beautiful fractal that feels like an object you got in some far corner of Thailand, done by a local artisan who rarely sells to the public, and which every house-guest who sees it fawns over. A beautiful piece. It's almost brass...but it's not. When people feel they know the material, but they totally don't know it, you've created something both intimate and creative...
