Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada :August 12, 2007 : My 1960 Chevrolet Corvette in our backyard after a good polishing.
I've owned this car since I purchased it in 1983 and still own it.
This is a C1 Corvette aka First Generation Corvette (1953-1962).
The perfect form of escapism. Remove the roof, fire up the V8 and go for a spin.
It's like a trip back in time. In essence it is my own Time Machine.

In 2020, it's more likely to be called a "muscle car" or a "pony car" rather than a "sports car." My own car had "Daytona pipes" and the next generation of this had "outsiders" while this year was never a car known for it's decibels. Happy to see you are still the willing owner ready for a show and shine.

Daaaaaamn. That is a sweet ride. I recently used the 1961 Corvette in an illustration. That reminded me of just how damn sexy this car is. Congratulations on having it, and kuddos for taking such great care of it.

Now with the C-8 the Corvettes are finally rear engined fulfilling a goal of Zora as he made his presentation of the first "Stingray" with it's own chassis in the Union at U of M in the fall of 1962. Don't believe it? Look at the big side air inlets.
