Description

The X-20 Dyna-Soar Spaceplane was designed land like an airplane and had the project gone forward would have been the only US spacecraft to come down on dry land until the much later Space Shuttle. In this image the glider has come to a stop and the pilot, having removed his helmet and opened the hatch, stands on the seat and signals to the approaching ground crew, The rendered image is overlaid on an image of the White Sands shuttle landing area. The pilot is M4 wearing a modified M3 Space Suit and the hood from Zero Gravity (from DAZ). The scene was composed and Superfly rendered in Poser 11 Pro and post-processed In Photoshop and Corel Photo Paint.
