For those that haven't met him, Mark is one of the kindest, and most supportive folks here on Renderosity. He writes wonderful, humorous stories, he posts brilliant, cheerful and inspiring art and photos. And he makes you feel like your art belongs in the Louvre next to Rembrandt, VanGogh, and Rockwell. If you are down, he will find a way to stand you back on for feet, ready to take on the world again. It is an honor to know him, and to call him my friend. Stay safe out there, buddy! We look forward to your return. This is Joelle - she's a distant cousin of G4 (as if you couldn't tell...LOL). She volunteered to give Mark a little light show with her lightsabers, since he does such wonderful things with light. She says she's all ready to give you a great big hug, buddy! Hope you survive THAT! LOL The '57 Chevy is a freebie by our generous friend, Darkglass. I used Bagginsbill's car paint shader for the baby blue finish on the Chevy. The background for this image is a hotel in Chicago, Mark's home town. I was going to use a different hotel until I saw the....uh.....name of it. It started with a "T." I said "newwwp!! Mark deserves better! LOL I made a 3D obj 'postcard' of the photo and placed it behind the Chevy, and gave it a 0.6 ambient level in the mat room so it would reflect in the car's surface. I unclicked the "visible in camera" tick-box so it wouldn't show up in the render, but left the "visible in raytracing" box checked so the reflection would show up. I wanted to add the photo in post so I could control the lighting effects with a multiply layer on top of it in PS. I used a layer mask to expose the lighted areas. With this image, I want to let you all know I'm going to be taking a short hiatus - probably around 2 weeks. I just need some time to recharge a bit with all the stuff I have going on here. Still doing lots of work on the house. I'm also working on a bit of an update to my website, and the Girls From T.N.A. website. I'll have some merch available should you be so inclined. It really helps me out! I will also have the next page in the T.N.A. story ready when I'm back in a couple weeks, so look for that.
