Description
A little over a week ago they started tearing down a two story vacant house next to me. As they worked they began to find tires in every room of the house. They tossed the tires in the basement, and then when they were finished they moved all the tires next to the fence...After more than a week this is what they had, more than 200 tires that they had to get rid of. It's illegal to bury them or put them in the dump so they had to find someone to recycle them. It cost $2.50 per tire to recycle them at the regular recycling place so that was out. Finally 2 days ago they found someone to get rid of them but I don't know the cost.

The worst part of old tires like that is mosquitoes! Illegal to bury, but I'm sure there are millions buried all over the place.

It's great to see you here again, Lynn, and what a wild photo and story! They found tire after tire in this place? What in the world were the residents doing? I can understand stashing cash, or furniture, or art...but tires??? Amazing story. And the photo itself is really good---I love the open street; then, all of a sudden, boom: there's this crater, and then tires. (It's better than some of the stuff people find in demolished houses, but still...) A real eyesore for your neighborhood too: Sorry you have to look at this, but hopefully it'll be taken away soon. (For some tire collectors in the region.) I hope you're doing well, Lynn, and holding up through this crazy pandemic. I hope you are safe and stay healthy throughout.
