Description

This is for Steve (eekdog)---for his 63d Birthday. (Today!) I made several images, but couldn't choose....so here's 3. I left them huge again (sorry!)---they'll look fuller if you can zoom. (And Steve: I know you're on a phone a lot of the time: I tried to make them small, but they didn't cooperate! So please just 'waltz' around the images, and you'll see them all...) From my photos of Chicago. (You can comment at the end if you like.) THANKS everyone, for your visits!!! ---------------

thank you my friend for thinking of me today. actually i'm using both phone and desktop. recall I got a few months free of wifi hotspot. but ends this month. so I can view your work in full size. love all 4 variations of your city. so much color and looks on all 4. the top has a western feel on it, b&w has that old photo look. and a great color blast on last two. lowest being my fave. thank you my friend,

stunning variations of the city sky line you did here! The one on the top and the second in b/w are my favorites - the others are most beautiful in colors but the details of picture and postwork are less visible because of the harder contrasts - anyway a most beautiful done dedication for Steve!

These four images are cool! There's so much going on in these. The colors create a different mood in each view. The top is like an old photo that is changing color as the years pass by; sad and yet fascinating. The black and white is what happen when enough of those years has passed and the color is gone but the memory remains. The dark one is night as it creeps across the city; quiet and mysterious with deep shadows. The bottom scene is midnight with a fill moon; when the colors are distorted and everything feels like a dream.

Excellent dedication to Steve!

So cool, I love the bottom with the blue night sky and the moon over Chicago and the textures of the trees, amazing stuff, Mark! Happy Birthday, Steve

What a wonderful and colorful foursome of Chicago views, Mark - and a great dedication to one of the most talented and kindest artists on Rendo! Steve's one of the very first to welcome me here all those years ago, and has been a stalwart friend and supporter ever since. Happy Birthday, Brother. I hope to have something up - late as usual...

First of all, Happy Birthday Steve! A terrific artist in his own right. I sometimes confuse him with the other Steve. Second, Mark, you've presented here a Chicago skyline in various stages of Apocalypse Now - or Later - post nuclear? The style reminds me of some long gone artist, I don't remember who. Why do I keep thinking van Gogh? That said, you've really presented us with a variety of color and motif schemes here, with number three panel being a close favorite. And this posting is but one of three. I look forward to the next two.

WOOOW! I love this image and its many variations. The top one is my favorite, but I cannot help loving them all. LOVE what you did to make them grungy. Awesome!
