Description
I know this is freaky, but it's actually a 'Good Luck' mask---meant to shoo away evil. It's an Elder who scares away bad-souls, out of love for his/her people.
Fr. Central America; wood and paint.
(Ok, enough freak-out stuff.)
Have a fine night,
m
(I really find this beautiful)

What a guy/gal! Beautiful designs, colors and handiwork--I find the mask very appealing, not at all scary or "freaky" :) Please share more of your "treasures," Mark.
Scares away bad souls.... Perfect! Now THIS is the mask I wanna wear to the grocery store! 🤣
I love this! Keep 'em coming, Mark!
This is freaking awesome! The colors, the designs and the fun details are so cool. He's not freaky, he's fabulous. And his name is Fred... that's funny and perfect. Thanks for showing him off.
REALY COOL
I love those colours set against the plain backdrop.
I like the paintwork
Outstanding !!
That is beautiful - I love all the colours.
Just too cool
cool mask with great details and color Mark. you collect unique art my friend. this mask would scare the yell out of you if you were hammered and walking down the street at night. always a like and fave on your work and pictures..
So cool !
An excellent capture of the mask, most likely worn by shamans in tribes, which when viewed objectively, has loverly detail and color. I really like it. I also like the lighting effects you achieved in this pic. I wonder if this masque can be worn in lieu of the current cloth ones used to prevent the spread of the dreaded Covid-19 disease.
Looks Fascinating dear Marc!
I wish you already a nice weekend and stay healthy!
Fred is awesome, though he needs to see a dentist!!!
superb clear colors on this mask!
He is a scary but beautiful too :)
I love masks and this one is so cool ... and yes, beautiful in a freaky way.
