The Pixels are under a great deal of pressure from Ma Yeti to produce a suitable bride for her first born, Be the Trey. They swindled her out of her Mahjong winnings over a month ago, foolishly believing she never be able to reach them. Rapidly spending the money on booze and porn, the Pixels forget their promise almost as quickly as they spent her money.
While usually affable, when a Mamma Yeti decides to pressure someone, that person generally notices and takes appropriate action. The Pixels aren’t known for Appropriate anything, but they do have access to every image, printed or digital, as long as it contains pixels.
They were Extremely happy to find this image!

in comparing the two, i do prefer this more vintage-y [it is SO a word, dammit] look... now i'm just left wondering how she'd manage in high heels in the snow for a pageant...

love the humor in this (and its companion piece)...you created an old, bent-and-stained photo really well, with all the needed decay...and perfect frame (the 17th or 18th c. mirror-frame of gods and goddesses, nymphs, lyres, acanthus leaves and so on). The tint, posture and coloration of "Miss Kathmandu" (perfect name) is right out of those early 20th C. cards and postcards---tinted to be magical rather than realistic. And the pose is so much of that age too. (I almost expect a flapper dress w/ cloche.) She's softened a bit too, also typical of that era. Love what you did with this! Ma Yeti has to be happy.
