I always love when you interrupt your beautiful montages with photos from your life. These are two small, beautiful m. doves...they look like females (the lack of pink coloring), and they're wonderfully squat. In fact, they look cold, lol. You caught the snow too---little frostings on the wood---and it looks like it was snowing at the time, from the tiny streaks from the sky. A restful, gentle capture of two m.doves, their chests extended as if they were cooing. (You probably know why they're called "Mourning"---but if not, it's because their calls sound mournful/lamenting. ((We studied bird song eons ago, as part of our musical training. Otherwise I wouldn't know a thing about this bird)) The male puffs up its chest, then mournfully coo's away until it goes silent.) A sweet and gentle image...and I love the yellows in the leaves. Sunlight, maybe? Or just signs of life...love the shot.

This is great work of photography. I feel like I can just reach up and touch them. It's good to see they don't have to social distance.

They look chilly even puffed out as they are! I'm sure their furry looking feathers keep them alive, but still, a bit of a hardship for them. Wonderful photo and fine capture! Bravo!

Great capture. It is nice how they always seem to come in pairs. When a solitary on is there, I always wonder what happened to the one that is missing, even if there wasn't another. They make an interesting sound when they fly away.
