Description
Ok...I can't explain where these images come from, but I hope they captured some of Spring's moods...
I'd seen Barb in all kinds of galleries, and migrated to her gallery several times...I could see, right away, that she was one of the beloved members here, and one of the truly appreciated and appreciative members too. Then...I loved her work...its play, its seriousness, her use of intense shadow and light, her delightful sense of childhood (which she puts into so many images), her sharp and sometimes outrageous wit---outrageous in the best sense---and, beneath it all, a real sense of humanity, with real intensity and conviction. I'm really glad I went beyond her (very supportive) comments, and finally plunged into her work.
Barb, I know you're in the center of COVID, for the U.S. And I know it must be terrifying and exhausting. I wanted to give you a bit of Spring in my crazy little images...even this one (above) is a 'reflective' side of spring. The way I see it, you're always giving encouragement and support here, so here's a little back. I wish you safety from the crazy virus---as I do for everyone---and I hope your spirits remain as high and deep and dancing as they can. You give a lot of dance to us, here's a little dance in return. Stay well, and I wish you tons of light and inspiration! Mark
Stay safe, everyone!

Again, a gorgeous set of images - this time exploring a range of blues that are uplifting - so perfect for Barb. And you are so right - she's a foundation stone of this community - and I do love her wonderful wit as well as her art.
Top drawer all the way, Mark!

So Beautiful !

At the first glance of this series we notice that it is fascinatingly beautiful. Then, like an X-ray, you feel taken further, as in the search for something deeper, the blue as the clear sky that reopens in the spring that you see reflected and perceived by the "sensitivity" of the rose. Still a great job Mark Stay safe, you and everyone too!

Another lovely piece of art...thank you again, Mark, for thinking about me and all your kind comments...
For some strange reason, it was only when I viewed this image, did the triptych come to mind...I do like how you've showcased the "evolution" of the blue flower...
Thanks once again for this beautiful series of "spring." Do stay safe, Mark...soon we will all be dancing in the sunlight

Each rose is unique in it's own way. From the soft silk at the top to the bright blown-out light-from-heaven at the bottom. This series caries the viewer through all kinds of moods. The flipping and layering of images adds depth and interest. A wonderful triple/triple dedication to Barb.

Now these images suggest to me roses, done with a bluish flavor, sitting in a panel among a background I don't have the words for at the moment to describe. You have really given your all in this three part dedication, Mark. Covid-19 be damned, full speed ahead!
