Okay, so I thought I'd humiliate myself by showing a sketch I started a few days ago using my iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, and Paper app. Began the drawing while sitting in a restaurant and have continued working on it, deciding what hair style to use and roughing in general features. The basic sketch was done in about 20 minutes. I used the Loomis method to help set up the initial proportions. While I generally do better while viewing a reference image, this one is being done strictly from my imagination. While not a remarkable sketch, I am pleased with it given the many years since I've hand drawn anything of note. I exported the iPad sketch into Photoshop on the Mac for contrast expansion, cropping, and text for the result shown here. Could have done all that on the iPad, but wanted to see it on a big screen.
