Description
Again, using Reagan G8F, I used a single light, no-gobo, but placed a "softbox" over the light. (In the case of DAZ, I turned the light in to a disc and gave it a large diameter.)
Notice how the penumbra of the shadow is softer than my previous head shot of Regan. The larger the light source, the bigger the penumbra.
Penumbra - the transition from the umbra (the darkest part of a shadow) to the light.
