Description
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada - December 19, 2019 : On my first trek to Hemlock Ravine Park, I encountered a tree that was decorated with three ornaments. On my fourth trip the tree now had several. A single decoration by someone is now a community effort. On a very cold December day thinking of this gave me a nice warm Christmas feeling.

Not old growth sequoias or even the white pines of Hartwick pines, you wander through cedars and oaks that are better than the quaking aspens that were my first acquaintance with large tree stands of second growth. A hearty dwarf is a good as a harmonica to accompany the trek.
