“Now, would you like to know how to find her lair?” Fairese teased with a capricious smile. The nymph had confirmed that there was truth behind the legend of the silver dragon who had vanquished two reds, having heard firsthand accounts of the battle. But that was not all she had to offer Torryn and Syn… she actually knew the location of the silver dragon’s lair. “You know where it is?” Syn exclaimed in shock. “Of course, I do my lovely… but there’s always a price for such knowledge,” the inhumanly gorgeous fey taunted in a seductive purr, looping her arms around theirs and guiding them deeper into the dell. “But first let’s make ourselves more comfortable.” She led them to the far end of the grove, where a misty waterfall filled a small pool, that in turn drained away into a babbling brook. A structure large enough to comfortable house one or two people, which seemed to be partially grown from living trees and partial constructed from beautifully carved timber, stood to one side with a pillow strewn, large cover porch stretching invitingly out before it. The beauty of the idealist setting was nearly overwhelming, leaving Syn truly awed. Then the fey motioned for her to approach the pool, inviting; “Feel the water… the falls are feed by a hot spring… its scolding when it comes out, but as it cascades down it cools to a quite tolerable temperature.” Syn knelt by the pool and found the water near perfect temperature for a soothing bath, but her curiosity couldn’t be held at bay any longer, and she questioned; “What do you want to tell us the location of the dragon’s lair… and what’s your relationship to Torryn? Obviously, you have some kind of past.” “You didn’t tell her,” the stunning fey admonished the wood elf, but then smiled knowingly and continued; “Of course you didn’t. You never offer anything of yourself do you? Well my lovely, he stumbled across my dell as a little more than a boy… chasing a buck I believe it was… but he left as a young man. I’m the one who taught him how to treat a woman!” Torryn let out a heavy sigh, confirming the truth of Fairese’s statement. He knew that the subject was bound to come up at some point, so he’d prepared himself for the revelation, but that didn’t mean that he welcomed it. “She was your first lover… a nymph!?!” Syn was stunned, astonished and nearly doubled over with laughter all at once. But she quickly regained her composure as she realized that the fey had only responded to half of her inquiry. Knowing her history with Torryn was diverting, and she would definitely use it to embarrass him in the future, but right now the location of the dragon’s lair was a higher priority. So, she turned back to the fey and insisted; “As amusing as that is, you didn’t answer the more important query… what do you want to tell us where the dragon’s lair is?” “I have everything I could possible want here, save one thing… the companionship of others,” Fairese replied with a wicked grin. “All I require is that you remain as my guests for the night… and we all enjoy each other’s ‘company’!”
