It is a serene world. The Wise Ones here tend the waters where the jewels grow - crystals collecting themselves molecule by molecule in untroubled waters - nourished into their crystalline perfection by prayer, focused attention, and the soft gentle flow of the mineral-rich waters.
It is believed that the sacred words and phrases these Wise Ones speak to the forming bodies of the growing gems - make their clarity into windows through which the Knowings of the Holy Beings beyond the worlds of Form can whisper and shine.
Traders who come here travel impossible distances to procure these precious and sentient gems.

I came here from your most recent post...I love your story, how the words of the wise make jewels...diamonds not from carbon but from wisdom...your image has cacti which are like pale chocolate mints, so exotic and beautiful...and the landscape is a symphony of greens and pale rusts, with those rusts on the shaman's metallic outfit as well. It's really got harmony (with turquoise green and blue jewels on it). I wrote a tale where monks and nuns whispered into the ground, and plants grew up the next year. Kind of similar...though, here, you have jewels, which is even more strange and mystical. Beautiful story and image.
