Leaving Ann, Andy ran into Thilgat, literally. He hit the troll head on and bounced off. Fortunately, he still had his spell shield, so he wasn’t hurt. The shield also knocked Thilgat down and stunned him some. Andy had given Ti his sword. Ann was the weapon. He hurried to his feet. He had a knife in his back pocket. Thilgat snarled in recognition. “You!” “Long time no see.” He reached for his knife and found a card with it. He pulled out both. Holding the knife in front of him, he glanced at the card. Thilgat laughed at the sight of the knife. It was just a switchblade. The troll got to his feet. The card was the sleep spell he’d helped Ann cast the last time they were here in order for them to be able to spy on the trolls. Why was that still in there? Hadn’t he washed these pants? He knew he wouldn’t beat Thilgat again. He got lucky the last time. He reabsorbed the energy from the spell shield and pulled a little from Mishtali. The dragon wasn’t in danger yet. Then, reading quickly from the card. He cast the spell. Unfortunately, his own withered magic got in the way. The troll went down from the backlash, but so did he, into a trance.
