Given the insane number of rivets in his yoke and belt, I'm guessing this is based upon the Buster Crabbe movie serials. I mean Alex Raymond's original newspaper illustrations are wonderfully detailed, truly works of art, rivaling the drawings of the competitions, Buck Rogers, but there's no way Raymond could have drawn that many studs panel after panel and maintain pace.
Is this just a private exercise, or will you be offering this to the 3D community as you did with the Jessica Rabbit evening gown?

BTW, are you the content creator who once made and shared a quasi "Doctor Who" 4th Doctor type scarf with ERC dials? I use that model (modified to have two lengths drape down the front) for all my Tom Baker themed renders.

Hi Bill, You are correct, this is based on a Buster Crabbe serial costume, the first Flash Gordon I believe I watch. I first watch these back in the 70s on Creature Feature, a late night show in the Northern California Hosted by Bob Wilkens. For a time they would show episodes of Old Serials before showing monster movies. This will be release as a Freebie, but as it is taking a bit more than an evening to put together as it will include 2 variations of Buster Crabbe outfits and a Sam Jones version as well. A suspiciously familiar long scarf is something I have done. Glad to hear that you have found it useful. Thanks
