I do like the gray/grey myself as well and agree regarding Steampunk-esque feel.
i have this model myself, but i use Poser. i think your conversion is looking rather splendid, to be honest... great lighting, too, btw - really shows your hard work off...
Thank you! I haven't tried in POSER (I have an older version 2012 Pro and don't like the generic pose, but love the artist rendering options).

Nicely done.
The grey variant of the small panel shot feels more realistic to me, probably because the old noisy/smoky texture that comes with the set is less noticable there. The brownish version feels less photorealistic--but to be perfectly honest, that works in favour of a more fantastical and steampunk-esque look, particularly in the large shot.
i have the whole nightshift3d series,and you put it to great use man.
