Club Med 50 B.C. - My reference was a render, however, this is NOT a render, but an actual painting done digitally. (A lot of people don't quite grasp what is involved with digital painting. Think of it this way... it's just like painting with oils, only there's no mess and it's done on the computer. If you want to dabble in it, there's an open source program called Krita you can download and use for free.) In this painting I'm experimenting with an impressionistic style using tiny brush strokes, but then blending them to get some detail. in the important areas of focus. I figured Cleopatra would have been around 19 in 50 B.C., hence the title. These two contemporaries with the Macedonian Ptolemaic Queen lay relaxing on a summer evening.
