Inspired both by the George Harrison/Beatles song and the fact that my dad has sadly stopped playing his guitar due to painful arthritis. Here we see an acoustic guitar sitting alone in a dusty old room as the sun shines on it and the world keeps on turning. This is actually a sort-of redux of an artwork I created in 2012 as a Xmas gift for my dad. He didn’t really like the original from that year so here’s hoping he thinks this new artwork is as much of an improvement as I do.

Sorry about your dad. Hope he finds a good substitute. I don't know what he thinks about this wonderful image and dedication, but I like it and on more than one level, if you catch my drift.

Truly a beautiful song, and you've used that inspiration to help create a really beautiful still life. The guitarist is absent but yet he is still felt. Wonderful work!

Boni and the Poser Staff
The pain of aging is something that's hard to fully comprehend until you start going through it yourself. Right now I have to limit the time I spend on my artwork because too much at once can cause pain my arm (not quite carpel tunnel, but similar, at least according to my doctor). Congratulations on having TWO illustrations in the "Staff Picks of the Week" list. I don't know if I've ever see that before, so it's quite an accomplishment. I'm in remarkable company this week.
I can't imagine your dad not liking this one – it's remarkable. (I went back through your catalog and didn't see the earlier version of this; too bad, as I would have liked to have compared them.)
