Description
My brother-in-law, Daniel, aka Myrddin789, had a diabetic episode and was taken to a hospital in our area. the problem with this is that no one at the local hospitals has heard of him and my sister, Vickie is beside herself. So I ask all of you to pray that he is alive and is in good hands. I'm about to call 911 and report him as a missing person and maybe the Local LEOs can locate him.
I don't know what to file this under other than people.

I'm terribly sorry about the hospital losing track of your brother-in-law, and I hope they find him and he is fine. I'm sorry for you and your sister and anyone else who is close to him, and I hope you all find relief. Hospitals are like cities, so much goes on in them and they lose track of things and even patients from time to time. It happened to my father, and also to a friend...several hours they just lost track of the patient. I hope they find him soon, just as they did my father and friend, and I hope all is back to normal by tomorrow...My blessings to him, your sister and to you. (I also hope your brother-in-law is well with his diabetes.) Lots of relief your way Mike. I'm very sorry you have to go through this, and my prayers are with you all.
I hope he is all right and reunited with his family very soon. Have you checked the emergency rooms in your area to see if they have received anyone with a diabetic problem?

I'm shocked, Mike! How can they provide lifesaving surgery, if they can't even take track of their patients. If it wasn't that tragic, I 'd be tempted to say ask google or Facebook, they probably track your brother in law better than this hospital their patients!

Same thing happened to me. They don't always take diabetics seriously, depending on your blood sugar numbers. A 40 could drop one person, but not another, and the hospital has it's own idea of what a dangerous low is. They didn't even check me in for a few hours. They had me in a bed next to the maintenance door in some back hallway for awhile, then made me walk upstairs to a floor that wasn't even open, it was closed down for repairs and I was left there and forgotten for a few more hours until some nurse taking a shortcut down to ER wandered by and asked what the heck I was doing on a closed floor. Your brother is in our families prayers and I hope everything resolves quickly.

Considering that he's been missing a comparatively short time, I hope the police don't see fit to take this call lightly and instead, give it the due concern it deserves. You were RIGHT to report him as missing which means that the Authorities, have a Duty of Care toward your Brother. I have no doubt he will be found and treated well in Hospital.
