If you are ever in the Hudson Valley and are interested in vintage planes, visit the Old Rhinebeck Airdrome on weekends during the summer...it's lots of fun as well as educational.

I remember reading about an entire corps of women pilots that flew the newly manufactured fighters to the bases from which they would be deployed to the war.
