Rendered in Poser, some postwork in Photoshop.
I wanted to make a tribute to Battlestar Galactica TOS, and I remembered that maybe I still had in my Poser objects archives some suitable stuff, but dating back almost 20 years ago.
With a little work, I was able to adapt 20th century 3D objects to a 21st century render. :)
Character textures and clothes are for "dork" male for Poser 4. Render in Superfly.

An excellent tribute where get the Colonial Viper?
Great tribute. You really nailed the look, color and attitude of the original series. I like the way you framed the Viper against the planet in the background, and I'm also a big fan of the tilt you gave everything. It adds tension to the image. The only thing I would suggest to improve it would be to add some footprints in the sand behind him. Other than that very minor thing, this is pretty darned near flawless! Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

Outstanding work on this scene. One thing as an informal student of Egyptian history is that the helmet reminds me of the death mask of the Pharaohs. or the Sphinx.
