Feel the power! Cool shot of these distribution goodies on the pole, Harry! I actually have one of those gray insulators like the one at the far right on the top crossarm.
I love these shots. Partly because they are very well done, but also because of something else. I don't know for sure, but I find there is kind of an unexplainable mood. Anyone else feeling the same, or is it just me?
The stuff of telephone poles always reminded me of the gizmo-like shapes on those old 1950s space movies, like they're parodies of mechanical 'goodies' (as Rod calls them), rather than real ones. Love the concentric circles, and the light on those metal things on the left side of the pole. And the clear blue sky for contrast. A very pleasing shot, with a strong bleaching light coming from our left. Fascinating shapes!
