I was away for 2 days (not pleasure: work), and I wanted to get back here again to pick up from where I left off. This was where I left off. This picture is really fine, Harry, for several reasons. One, the texture, light and almost monotonal feel. You've gotten the branches to look almost etched, and there's a subtle light in the grays, and the bleached white sky sets them off beautifully. Then there's the fanned-tail feeling---the way the branches fan out in a near-perfect semi-circle---helped immensely by your crop and composition: By incl only the very top of that roof (the a "base" to the image), you've given primacy of place to the branches. Like they're feathers in a hat. And the green edges--the leaves--are like the fuzz on the top of a bald head. (I'm bald, I know these things!) And you cropped and framed it perfectly. A really fine job, esp considering that the subject material is repetitive. You handled this subject beautifully.
