Description

Undated. (There will be more like that I'm afraid. I didn't do a good job dating these.) I bought a particular roll of black and white film thinking it would have a sepia effect already applied to them when I got it developed. I didn't realize then I would have had to develop the film myself in order to get that effect. Shot from Oak Street Beach, with the John Hancock Building in prominence.

very good capture. I tried my hand at developing during the late 70's with no luck

Love the B&W view of Chicago, Wes! I've been there a few times, but since I was there for training for my job, I didn't have time to do any exploring...

I used to have a full darkroom years ago in our first house - both B&W and color. I can remember spending hours in the dark with funny smelling chemicals, making dozens of test prints, burning and dodging (which I was never very good at), and every once in a while getting the result I wanted. Now my "darkroom" is Lightroom and Photoshop..
