Doc Savage?
Yes -- Doc first came out in 1933 (first one to have a Fortress of Solitude in the Arctic) and Superman was first out in 1938. Even Stan Lee apparently acknowledged Doc Savage as the forerunner of modern superheroes...
Excellent image!
Thank you
I'm a HUGE fan of Clark Savage (although I might argue that both The Shadow and Lone Ranger pre-date him as "the first" superhero, but that's the kind of fanboy argument I reserve for a Friday night when I've got a six-pack of beer at hand). You really did an amazing job of capturing the James Bama version of Clark. There is something about the skin and lighting that brings to mind a photo of an action figure, and that's pretty cool! I think the "action figure" impression is accentuated by the scale of the rock and the grass. As I said, though, I find this pretty cool. Here's hoping you'll do more Doc Savage images in the future. Thanks for sharing this with us.
