Yfer is populated with 50 million Fine-Eyes mutants and 25 million Big-Feet mutant slaves, and no non-mutant. Norcan is populated with 30 million non-mutants, 50 million Big-Feet mutant slaves and no Fine-Eye mutant. Within the wild zones (90% earth surface), there are 300 free Big-Feet mutants. This school is in the provincial sector known as Yfer 6, on the east side of the Kuryu town. There is a border zone around Yfer 6 where the radioactivity is somewhat mild. There is a bigger provincial zone, Yfer 5, that is on the west side of Yfer 6 and these 2 zones are connected only by one highway that is crossing the radioactive zone in between. Yfer 5 is very near to the border separating Yfer with Norcan, that border so radioactive that almost anybody will die from the intense radioactivity there if he tries to cross that border. The only safe way to cross it is by aircraft. Women live in villages with their children; the woman stays in the village, all her life, in the house built by their husband. The males are always traveling on horses from village to village, visiting their wives for a month each, and providing manly help and goods. Usually, each man is married with 8 women, about one wife per village. (Not mentioned here, the village is run by a woman council; you can imagine the strange, but interesting, social life there.)
