beautiful example and photo. someone was going to give me a 57 or 58 Plymouth like this style if I could get it to run. had no place to work on it so I declined
My older friend in high school whose car sense went back to a white Deuce with bobbed and motorcycle fenders he showed me in snapshot from before 1950 put some of these wheel covers on his Ford Ranchero six. Later he put Imperial wheels on his 1934 Ford as the 5-1/2 inch bolt circle matched. That gave him wide 14 inch wheels on the rear and he could have used the 57 Plymouth cones there but instead he went for 1960 Buick stainless full wheel covers with a smaller cone in the center. Both were prettier than the 55 Chevvies with white and the 56 Chevvies with black and a flatter cone. (And the Chevvies required a set on short knobs on the inside of the rim to hold the ring on them to attach. Interchangeable parts can get complicated.
