In the field behind his house, Lee was throwing a ball for his dog to fetch. Unfortunately he didn’t watch where he stepped and planted a shoe right into one of the dogs “leavings”. His favorite sneakers will need major cleaning if not burning.

picking up from where I left off...I love the daily scenes you depict...I know what Lee feels. One of the drawbacks of modern sneakers is that the soles have whole grand canyons in them, and when you step in dog "leavings" (great euphemism, btw!), that stuff has a million places to take up residence. Modern sneakers are condominium associations for dog excrement. Anyway, love the guy's posture and expression, and the wrinkles, etc. And the dog looks like he's fine with the whole thing. (Dogs gotta be thinking, "what is your problem???") Nice blue sky and beautiful background photo. (Is that where you live? Man, the biggest hill where we live is 2 feet high.) A really engaging image.
