my first car was a 57 Chevrolet. it got really good oil mileage a quart each 35 miles. I bought the cheapest oil to be found. back then, maybe 8 cents per quart . A gallon of gas in 1950 was 18 cents.

I had a 63 Nova wagon years ago that got about the same oil mileage.
Magnificently well preserved 57 Chevy and a very interesting 46 Ford truck! A fine photo!
