Description

Continuing my work on the cover for a sci-fi anthology, I've finally nailed down the composition and am now applying painting effects. For this, I'm using the Topaz Labs Studio with the IMPRESSION plug-in. So far, I'm pretty happy with the results, but think I need to simplify the Alien Dude's outfit and run the filters again. If you've looked at the previous versions of this cover, you'll note that I've altered the composition to bring the gun between them. I did this so I could bring more of the debris to the front cover. The large dead area in the back is for adding text. Also note, that this is MUCH larger than the printed cover will be. This extra space (no pun intended) was provided in case we ever want to reformat this as an 8.5 x 11 or as a poster. Workflow: Poser Pro 11 with Superfly render.
