Description
I always carry a flashlight in my bag. LED flashlights these days are powerful and produce a nice strong light.
While most of the time I use it for a fill light when shooting outdoors, this time we ducked down a NYC delivery alley and it was dark. I handed my flashlight to another photographer and asked if he'd hold it in position so I could get some nice loop lighting. He obliged.
The harsh shadows adds to the harshness of the alley as if the light was coming from a nearby streetlight.
After I took my shots, the other photographer asked if I'd hold the light so he could get some shots. (Copycat! But, hey, I didn't mind. I was flattered that he wanted to do what I was doing.)
