Description
There we were commenting on who had left a big chunk of cake on the road after the recycling trucks had been round when all of a sudden it was like a scene from the film Birds. These seagulls swooped down & cleaned the cake away. The speckled one took a huge chunk then came back for more.
I know we are not far from the sea but it was amazing how they all knew about the cake!!!!!
Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated.

Wonder if Mr. Buck saw them and what his reaction was.
I feed the birds in a nearby park during the winter, and once it gets really cold, the gulls appear. I live midway between Long Island Sound and the Atlantic Ocean, so I'm not certain from which area they come, but they do come in droves...large and bossy, they will eat just about anything. I also know that their arrival, apart from extreme cold, usually means bad weather is on the way. Haven't seen any yet, so, for the time being, I guess my area is in the all clear weather wise.
Your gulls probably followed the truck, looking for things just like that piece of cake. They aren't dumb and have an inscrutable, most efficient means of communication.
Wow, that is cool, great captures!
They must have spies in the sky!
See there, you got an in with the Darai.
That is amazing how they found the cake!
