I mainly created this artwork as another excuse to use that awesome Xmas Tree and a blue toned room I got from Truform today. The colors of the room and tree set the mood for the piece; blue. I used my D9S Stella 2 Superstar character in this piece with a custom makeup to match the scene’s blue tones. I’m not sure if you can tell in the smaller web-sized version of the artwork but there is an incoming call on the phone which she is ignoring because she just feels like being alone right now.

Aside from being wonderfully put together in every way (tones, composition, lighting, everything) this is such an emotional image!!! Also this is real life, sadly Christmas and the holidays aren’t alway “merry” for everyone. I can’t help but hope that whatever she’s going through it passes quickly.
I came from the current image and just had to look up this version. Such a beautiful image in its sadness. I know that feeling too. Every year at Christmas, I find myself standing among lots of crazy people who are singing and celebrating, and I keep asking myself what I’m even doing there.
