Description
For this image, here are some concepts I followed:
1) Never have your subject sit back in the chair. Bring them forward. This allows the thighs to drop (making the butt look thinner) and causes their back to be more straight.
2) Legs positioned as to not be looking up the skirt.
3) Create a leading line with the limbs (her right leg leads into the right arm, which leads you to the face.
4) Short lit the face, BUT, covered the broad side of the face with hair. This created a long slender face (versus a big round face).
5) Lighting from the side and shadows on the chest created cleavage
6) There are multiple body angles - legs angled camera left, shoulders angled camera right and tilted downward. This creates a compositional armature (aka triangles) that make the image more dynamic.
7) Spotlit the background to create fall-off around the subject creating a natural vignette.

beautiful portrait. these instructions are perfect for 3D work as well. Thanks
Thank you for letting me know you find them helpful. There's a lot I can't do anymore because of MG, but when my brain isn't all foggy I can at least share things I learned over the years.
Again, thank you for letting me know they are helpful.
