this rose is in memory of a very good friend that would have a birthday tomorrow, but he commited suicide around 1983-84. we always went camping as teenagers and went to Mexico also. he was a little bit younger than myself, but looked more mature.
we went to a bar when I turned 21, and he was still 20. the server asked me for my id but not his. we always had a good laugh about that. I looked young for my age before, but now people to tell the truth would think I am older than my age
As we are getting older, there are more and more little things that are getting precious, because they represent, and makes us remember, unique and highly significant past moments of our life. For you, one of these things is this frail rose; it symbolizes the beauty, but also the extreme fragility of human life.
She must be very cold, that poor rose. I was in the same case when I was young I wasn't my age and now either but in the opposite direction ðŸ˜
That is such a lovely rose Richard. I bet it would look good as a transparency for someone to use creating a collage.
fabulous

A wonderful photo, Richard, and a most fitting way to remember your friend! It is true - as we age our memories become more and more precious.
