Nice capture of this one. good thing you weren't completely underneath him.
Fantastic capture,love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Waiting for a chance at a snack I presume.
Yep, that's a crow. I forget that city people see them too. Out here they are always chasing owls and hawks.
They are beautiful birds, nice capture...
Great shot of this big guy, my friend! This is probably the lookout, and there are more on the ground feeding somewhere close.
Absolutely love this guy.
Looking out over his (her?) domain. Nice capture!
Excellent shot !!
interesting point from Rod. This is a very minimal piece in a way, and you made it into a simple angled 'meet' of lamp and bird, with a near clear sky behind. It's striking, esp as the bird is black (a crow), and therefore you have black and white here (with shadows). The "V" made by the bird and lamp---a V on its side---is simple and near-abstract. A groundless shot and yet the lamp provides all the ground it needs. Fine minimal work; and I love the "25" visible down there. Adds an odd humor to it all.
Harry, I'm at an hour again, and have to move on. I'll be back for another session before stepping away again. You've posted---out of the blue---a burst of fire engine shots with all kinds of hues, lights, angles, visual collisions, etc. I gotta comment on some of those. And that powerful homeless shot. And a series of abducted people and dogs, etc. (Didn't expect to see those!) I'll be back. But it's a pleasure as always. I'll drop you a line too, after I read that article about the end of the cosmos. (Nice topic, lol! Pleasant reading after the UN said we have till 2040 to change the environment, or else...I'll get back to you soon.) I hope you're doing well, and that your body is cooperating with you enough to make things workable for you. And that the heat is letting up a bit...take care...
