Description
NOT CHRISTINA...
NOT CHRISTINA’S WORLD…but I couldn’t help but think of the masterpiece Andrew Wyeth released in 1948. This photograph is a double slice in time, a little girl at play, dressed as she would in the mid 1700’s. She played on the grassy hill while her parents reenacted a skirmish of “American” colonists, Redcoats and Natives at Martin’s Station, a fortified stopover named on the frontier near Cumberland Gap, Virginia. Christina's world was unfortunately much smaller.
