.... at least for now. Too many bugs in the system.
I uploaded a short test video last night, and it was up for a short time - enough to get 4 comments. A couple hours later, I got a message: "Sorry! This video is currently under review and cannot be viewed except by moderators and coordinators." I left a message in the forums about it.
This morning i had a reply from Ashley that it had been corrected, and was available. When I went to view it, I got a message: "Sorry! We cannot locate the gallery art in any of our records. It seems someone removed that video." I tried again, and got the "Sorry! This video is currently under review and cannot be viewed except by moderators and coordinators." message again.
Obviously there are too many bugs in the system. Imagine that.
The upshot is that - at least for now - any videos I create will be posted elsewhere, and a link provided.
I thought this would be a cool feature, but not if it doesn't work any better than it has so far - at least for me. That's the main reason the video upload was just a test. It told me what I needed to know.
Onward and upward.

I agree with bakapo! I have been asking for a long time about credits and I get the message that the TI experts are looking for a solution
One drag is there will always be some kind of glitch here and other sites, i guess we gotta desk with it my friend. Bummer about your video issue. I'll see if I can see it. Cool moth capture my friend.
I for one enjoyed your video! When it was up, I had no trouble viewing it and enjoyed what you had accomplished! It was a most fantastic 3d view of your characters. So sorry to hear of the trouble you are having. I noticed one other video from another artist I had trouble viewing until I downloaded it. Once I did that, I was able to view it locally on my computer but it would not open in Renderosity. It showed the progress bar but the screen was black. Go figure??! Oh yeah! And nice bug capture. Did you have a license for that? LOL! Just kidding!
LOL - I saw that cicada last week just hanging out on the back wall of my patio, so I had to grab a photo. I tried for a closer shot, but he flew off!
Well, Rod. You're not alone with video problems. Krittermom sent me 2 videos of thumb sucking critters. I had trouble - had to download, then play up in QuickTime. No way of saving them, though. Just look. And, the SIZE of the darned window! But you got a good one there, until it frighted and flew away. Ha! As if you enjoy them as meals (YEACH!) Keep up the good work. :-)

Yeah! I went looking for the video as well and it appeared that you video didn't even exist! Too bad that you didn't capture this guy on your screen door, then you could have told everyone that this was a screen shot
I've been thinking of trying my hand at animation again, though I want a new and faster computer before I go there. Too bad Renderosity can't get these things right. Love the moth though. Cheers!

Sorry, I received the same "Sorry! We cannot locate the gallery art in any of our records. It seems someone removed that video." message after I opened the email. It probably got lost in cyberspace before ending up on Facebook or Instagram. Best of luck next time.
There probably won't be a 'next time' - at least until they get the quirks worked out. If I decide to create any videos, I have another way for everyone to access them (that doesn't involve YouTube or Facebook.).

I'm sorry you're having a hard time with the video feature, I'm sure it will get worked out.
Not a big deal, really. They'll get it fixed at some point, I'm sure.
Every time this place mucks around with the website, they manage to bung it up even more. It's amazing really. I've managed to detest each new iteration even more than the previous version.

Bugs can be real annoying, but please don't squish them -- not when they're as cute as that cicada!
Nice shot of a cicada you've got there. Would have been even nicer if it were closer up! :)
