Description
As usual... I forgot to get details.
This was tricky. I usually shoot available light so I don't get tossed out the door. In this case we have ceiling lights and a skylight. Still the overall room was on the dark side. So some telephoto zoom and camerashake did the best they could. Looking at the original image.... Yoicks! There is a lot of reflection from the ambient light as the paint seems to have been applied with a lot of texturing which produces all those bumps which like to reflect anything they feel like.
So the PW was correcting the parallels and tweaking the colors twice. As the colors brightened (into what I believe they should be rather than the muted colors in the original) the pesky highlights mostly, really only mostly, disappear... for the most part. A zoom will show where this failed and reveal some of the paint texture.
We will see some images that give a better idea of what the gallery looks like. (As if you've never seen a museum gallery, but it gives a better idea of the conditions available.)
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
