I'm glad to upload this picture captured in my backyard several days ago.
From time to time I'm lucky enough to meet some beautiful birds :-)

Tu as de la chance d'avoir de si beaux visiteurs...j'en entends bien de temps à autre mais n'ai jamais eu l'occasion de les prendre en photo et aurais-je ton talent de photographe si j'en voyais un ? Rien n'est moins certain. Je me désole, depuis mon retour d'Espagne, de constater qu'il y a si peu d'oiseaux chez nous...les hirondelles, que l'on voit par milliers outre Pyrénées, semblent avoir déserté nos contrées ; il y a de moins en moins d'insectes, elles sont donc privées de carburant ! La faute aux pesticides !

Great photo! I don't know a lot about birds, admittedly, but I find it interesting that one has red on the back of the neck while the other is red on the top of it's head. Male and Female??
