Description
Had a nice day out with the girls, bit sad as it was the first day out without Miss meadow.
Walking on the common at Beverley near the racecourse we came across this stone commemorating the Coronation of the Queen in 1953. Why it was in the middle of the common is a mystery!!!!
Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated. x

Miss Meadow will be missed by many of us here Barbara.
Prayers and Hugs-- to you, Miss Truly and Jasmine.
What a interesting find, thanks for sharing.

That is very intriguing!
This is an interesting find--perhaps a celebratory statement of support for the Queen and reaffirmation the "realm." Just a guess.
The girls are looking good. How's Jasmine's eye doing?
This is one incredible shot Barb very sharp with great lighting yeah that is quite a find thanx for sharing my friend!!
Interesting, great capture!
Interesting. It doesn't look like anyone thinks it's very special.
I read the first post and was... what did I miss? I went back through your gallery looking for what my brain must have glossed over, probably because I didn't want to see it. I see it now though, I'm so sorry. Now I'm sad.
Possibly intended as a stele, curious find.
wonderful and interesting capture. it's hard when an old friend isn't there to share
